The Florida Agricultural and Mechanical College (FAMC) 1938 Championship Football Team is a celebrated part of the school's history, marking a pivotal moment in the development of African American football at the collegiate level.
In 1938, FAMC, which would later become Florida A&M University (FAMU), was a powerhouse in Black college football, competing primarily in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC).
