Description
-
The spirit is being bitten by the serpent that is wrapped around its neck. This is a demonstration of the spirit's willingness to accept pain and suffering in order to defend and protect the lamb by self-sacrifice.
The calm serene face of the lamb, held between the spirit's fee, is similar to the face of the serpent held by the 'Protctor of the crops.
